From what I’ve heard, one must be generous with the sharing of their art because it could change someone’s life for the better. So, here goes…
For as long as I can remember, art has been my survival guide. It has saved me more times than I can count. It has saved me from depression, anxiety, loneliness, uncertainty, overthinking, internal wounds etc. My mind is a powerful thing when I’m by myself. It tells me to be afraid, to give up, to think of every possible scenario and to worry.
To escape, I make art. Badass, beautiful, emotive art…
give me the rainy days
those dark, beautiful, temperamental skies
give me the streaks of lightning
the roaring thunder that I can feel in my bones
give me a storm and I shall wallow in it
mind, body and soul
I lose myself in the greens and blues, letting my thoughts drift away because they were never welcome anyway. I imagine my feet being tickled by the blades of grass and I feel a sense of freedom away from the real world. Eventually, I find and recognize myself and I smile.
Sometimes I am accompanied by these glorious characters who have stories of their own. They speak with their eyes and I listen intently to their words of gratitude and sorrow. What a privilege it is to be in their company.
Because of art, I am no longer lost. For I am found. And I am finally home. I happily reside between the paint and the canvas, where my mind is at ease. My hope is that my art does the same for you.

Your art with the path and the two trees remind me of one of my favorite walking paths I take with my family and close friends. How specific...almost like a poetic vision. ✨
